The industry’s biggest week just wrapped, and if Cannes Lions taught us anything this year, it’s that creativity thrives when people are energized, not exhausted. As we hit the midpoint of 2026, Kite Hill is taking that lesson to heart. That’s why we kicked off our second annual Wellness Week, giving the entire team a dedicated stretch of time to step away from screens and deadlines. This year’s break once again reflected one of Kite Hill’s core values: balance in action.
The goal remains the same: encourage everyone to embrace personal wellness in whatever form it takes, and return feeling refreshed, reenergized, and ready to bring their best selves to work.
Read on for our team’s reflections on rest, recharging, and balance.
This Wellness Week, we headed to a resort at Lido Key Beach in Florida. We had long, relaxing days at the beach, poolside cocktails, afternoon naps and I finished a book – things that never make the cut in my everyday life. Balance, to me, means fully signing off so I can fully show back up. I came back from this week feeling recharged and ready to go, which is the whole point. Work hard, play hard.
– Maggie Melocchi, Account Supervisor
I spent the week getting to be an uncle to my niece and nephew that I don’t get to see very often. Alongside that, I made time for reading, checked off some personal goals, and got in the water whenever I could.
I try to keep balance part of both my personal and professional life, whether that’s a good book, time with friends or a Bravo marathon. It sounds simple, but it helps keep me grounded and focused.
– Kyle Murray, Account Director
For Wellness Week, I soaked up some pool and beach time at home in Charleston, then headed to the Jersey Shore for the Fourth of July. Balance to me means being totally in the moment, recharging both personally and professionally. When we take that time, we come back able to be our best selves at work.
– Maddy Walsh, Account Manager
For Wellness Week, I took some time to unplug and recharge with a trip to Skaneateles, NY. I spent the weekend enjoying the lake, great food, beautiful weather, and quality time with friends. To me, balance means creating time to unplug, recharge, and return to work feeling refreshed, focused, and inspired.
– Sara Salkin, Account Manager
I used my Wellness Week for a mother-daughter trip that let me slow down, be present, and create lasting memories. Balance means making room for the moments that recharge, whether that’s for a whole week or in the day-to-day, so you can come back with renewed energy and focus.
– Julia Calabrese, Senior Account Executive
I had the best staycation. I spent time decorating my new apartment, enjoying some time to myself, soaking up the Miami sun, and just slowing down. Balance to me is all about reconnecting with the little things that bring us joy and making space to recharge before life gets busy again.
– Alain Rapallo, Account Director
During Wellness Week, I enjoyed making progress with wedding planning while also setting aside time to relax, start a new book, and spend quality time with friends and family. To me, balance means intentionally unplugging and recharging so I can show up fully present and focused in both my personal and professional life.
– Olivia Ly, Senior Account Executive
My family spent our time off-grid at a Great Camp in the Adirondacks. It was an adjustment, but not relying on a phone for entertainment reminded us that there is so much to see and do when the devices are gone. To me, balance means taking the time to rest, reset, and come back ready to engage again at work fully.
